Perfect Autumn Sunset Reflections with Tilly
Sunset is beautiful at this time of year. All healthy animals frolic and play in the last rays of daylight. Tilly is no exception, a game of sticks or flickaball. Watch the mullet jump in the river disturbing the too perfect mirror reflection on the glassy surface. Catch your breath down at the river bank before dinner and a long snoozy cuddle in front of the TV.
New Fridge
Well my Fridge has died. Can't get it repaired as the company that supplied it has been taken over by a company that is bankrupt in Australia. Not good news, especially considering the fridge alcove was the perfect size for the old fridge. Solution is to modify the alcove. Kitchen looks a lot more spacious now we have removed that wall. Now just a little plaster, paint and tiles and a lot of dust and noise the new home for the new fridge will be ready. We have already removed the wall, straight after returning home from the fridge shop.
I love my renovating tool and the pinch bar. I don't love plastering. That dust gets into the most unimaginable places. It's the finest talc like powder, when airborne it settles on every surface even rooms closed off are not immune to the invasion. 7 more sleeps and we should be ready, fingers crossed

Salted Caramel Saltine Crackers
We made the Saltines now we have used them in this magnificent Salted Caramel Chocolate Bark. Everything from scratch. Warning: this is addictive. Not being a real caramel fan we made this out of curiosity. We are so glad we did. Definitely the most delicious unusual tasting sweet ever. Sweet, Salty, Crunchy, Chocolate, Crispy try stopping at one piece. OK that's unreasonable! Try stopping at 5 pieces, now that might be achievable, maybe not.. This treat is self control proof!!! Check it out and more tomorrow on our cheekyricho YouTube channel.

The Mighty Clarence
Hard to imagine this beautiful placid and peaceful looking river was the site of the highest flood on record a few short weeks ago. This huge river peaked at 8.08 metres which is just 2 cm below the top
Of the levee wall that saved the town. Surrounding properties were not as fortunate and Grafton was isolated from the north and south again. The width of this river is massive. Imagine the volume of water needed to raise its level by more than 8 metres as it raged at speed along its way 42 miles to the sea.

Mum in the kitchen
Visiting my mother for Mother's Day and decided to make combination pork soup in her new kitchen. I wanted to show you a good way to
Use the whey by product of home made ricotta cheese. We have showed you how to make that in a different YouTube video on our cheekyricho channel. The whey makes a very flavoursome light stock for a healthy Asian style pork combination soup. After a bit of trial and error mum got onto the camera for me and did a pretty decent job of the filming. Way to go grandma! The video results Will be posted later in the week. Needless to say we had a very tasty, healthy satisfying lunch in the first meal to be cooked in her new kitchen. I think it was a success. What will we cook tomorrow?? Hmmm'
