Fruit Salad Cheekyricho video recipe

This has to be the best fruit salad you have ever tasted. No added sugar, it's not needed. Chunky sweet stone fruits, tart and colourful berries, juicy sweet melon, tropical fruits banana, seedless grapes, lychees, mango and home grown passion fruit served with a dollop of unsweetened Creme Fraiche from Meander Valley in Tasmania. Don't you just love the sound of that brand name. We show you a way to transport this delicious dessert easily and safely to your next picnic.
You don't have to spend a fortune just one piece of as many different pieces of fruit you can find that are at their peak of ripeness and freshness is fine. If some fruits are out of season feel free to use frozen, dried or canned pieces to bulk out this yummy salad. Craisins, golden raisins, frozen berries or chunks of frozen mango and avocado work great too. The fruit should be firm yet ripe, don't be tempted to use fruit in your salad which is bruised, blemished or past its prime, putting second grade fruit into a fruit salad is a waste of ingredients, use it in a smoothie instead. Chop your fruit into different sizes for added texture, peel the fruits you need to like pineapples, melons, bananas and mangoes but apples and stone fruits can keep their jackets on, great texture, great colour and helps identify each individual piece by helping to keep it intact until it's time to eat. We used green apples, tart crisp and less likely to oxidise. Firm bananas hold their shape much better than ripe or even over ripe ones but they won't brown too much  either. Freeze it in fruit juice in individual  containers to pop into summer lunch boxes to keep the kids lunches fresh and cool. By lunch time they will be slushy soft and that close to an icy pole the kids will be delighted with this thoughtful lunch box treat. So much more durable than a squashed plum or banana.
This versatile fruit salad is perfect on top of pancakes, tossed into a blender with coconut milk, almond milk or yoghurt, a handful of baby spinach leaves for a grab ' n go smoothie Breaky. Fill a pavlova, tart or cover in jelly and chill it. You're gonna need to buy more fruit.;-))

Salad Niçoise Cheekyricho YouTube video recipe

Cheekyricho Salad Niçoise it's tasty, filling, colourful and easy to make. We used Canned Tuna, I know, I know fresh is best... I spent 4 hours traipsing around town trying to buy fresh tuna. There is no such animal where I live. I even saw one display cabinet filled with smelly, discoloured crusty  edged pieces of unidentifiable fish. I would think twice about feeding it to a cat.
So.... Here is my version using the best canned in oil Tuna I could find, responsibly sourced and dolphin
friendly, it's lean, high in protein, healthy, colourful and delicious. We do hope you check it out and our other extensive salad selection on our Cheekyricho YouTube Salad Playlist. http://youtu.be/aMZ1ZTYk-Aw

Roasted Chick Peas in the Actifry Cheekyricho video recipe

With so many nut allergies these days it's hard to find tasty healthy snacks that are a good source of fibre and protein and easy to make. The Actifry does a marvellous job on these little guys. It turns them into little tasty crispy skinned flavour bombs with a a creamy inside. We love them as a snack with an icy cold beer or glass of white wine. You can flick them through a salad for extra taste or pop them into soups or rice dishes as a garnish. Don't forget to save the liquid they are packed in because it makes a fantastic vegan pavlova. For both recipes check out our Cheekyricho YouTube channel, we are full interesting recipes, product reviews and handy tips. Why not subscribe, it's free and we are uploading plenty of recipes every week.

Cookies with Cheekyricho

It's school holidays in Australia, there are kids everywhere you look. If you are searching for some cookie recipes to keep the littles ones all snacked up and entertained at the same time we have a few interesting ideas here for you.
Introducing our Milo Cookies, using only 5 ingredients, one of which is the Chocolatey, malty milk additive powder made by Nestle. In itself it is Low GI and contains 8 different vitamins and minerals with a delicious taste it works very well as the flavouring for these crisp light chocolate flavoured cookies that are not too sweet, very easy to make and perfect with a glass of cold milk. Richo likes to dunk them in what ever he is drinking but I prefer to eat them just as they are.
If you're not a chocolate fancier and I can't imagine life without the need to indulge in chocolate at almost every opportunity then try our next Cookie , Tah Dah... The Sticky  Date Cookie may be  more you your taste, it's slightly softer in texture but has a delicious, almost gingerbread flavour, colour and consistency, without the ginger of course. The base of this cookie is prepared in the thermochef which does an excellent job of rendering a pile of dry dates, butter and brown sugar into a sticky smooth creamy date infused sticky sauce, no other method of cooking does the task as well as the thermochef, an egg and some flour completed the recipe and into the oven we go for a completely different morning tea snack. Inside 30 minutes from go to woah for either recipe you are in for a delicious teatime treat. We do hope you get the kids involved in making these healthy little cookies.
