Hot spinach cob dip
Very popular a generation ago and still useful today. Take some fresh garden greens, introduce them to a creamy sauce and some smoky bacon then heat them in a hollowed out crusty cob loaf and you have a ready made dish that is perfect for informal entertaining and you can even eat the bowl.
