When you feel like a sweet treat but you don't want to make a full sized cake, there is an alternative. Solo Diners can rejoice with this moist, fluffy, mug brimming Chocolate Cake which has a secret fudgey gooey centre of warm chocolate truffle. Plan how I could incorporate them into a dessert. This is what I came up with.
You will need a large capacity mug (I used my favourite Hippy Mug) a few pantry staples and a microwave. Now don't go judging this cake until you try it. Microwave Ovens aren't normally the ideal Baking vessel for cakes, tending to make them a bit rubbery or dry but they do a champion job on Mug Cakes because the smaller quantity allows the cake to cook to perfection without having over or under done pockets.

When you simply must have cake but you don't have time to Make a full sized cake, that you will have to eat for days until you get sick of it or it goes stale, then this is the best way I know of to satisfy that cake craving. When portion control is important this can by sliced in half and makes two servings or you could hide in a corner with it and a spoon. Your choice!!😋
