We camped at a Billabong on the McKenzie River and Richo put out some yabbie traps and had a fish. No yabbies but he caught a Slippy Cod. A beautiful eating fish and another first of the species for him. We free camped and at 6.30am had to vacate the site in a scurry as a water tanker needed to get access to the waters edge (our campsite) to refill his huge water carrier. So we pottered on down the very dusty dirt road until we came to this beautiful peaceful setting. Obviously a very popular campsite given the remains of numerous campfire, animal and wheel tracks. Richo had a fruitless fish, while I cooked a hearty breakfast and Tilly ran crazy boy around the mini river sand dunes. Portia kept wandering off in an aimless fashion, that little dog definitely has dementia. After breakfast and it was on the road again.
