Day 13 Royal Caribbean Explorer of the seas Cheekyricho cruise holiday.

Still can't find my pen so I couldn't order room service for breakfast.
At 2am this morning we crossed the equator into the Northern Pacific Ocean, we are about halfway between Suva & Honolulu. Captain IKEA reckons we should feel a bump and a slight shudder, 😉 that must've happened during one of my coughing fits because I was awake then. A fitful night of coughing and fevers. We awoke early and went to breakfast, came back and took 2 new Codral Tablets and immediately went into a sound restorative sleep for a couple of hours. Got up and went to the movies, Daddies Home a Will Ferrell and Hunky Wahlberg kids show and it was very clever and entertaining. Very few coughs, yay I LOVE CODRAL!!! Lunch in relative silence YES!! Back to the cabin for another long nap. Up for the evening show Shane St James a Hypnotist. We were very careful to sit back from the front this time. Richo had done his bit for entertaining the Explorer of the Seas. He was even recognised in the half dark by s fellow show goer.
All these audience volunteers became rock stars, lovers, strippers, washing machines, jack hammers, singers and Mr & Mrs Universe for about an hour. It was funny and entertaining and not for me.
We ventured back to the special restaurant for the first time in 10 days.
An entree called a Taste of Alaska, prawns, smoked salmon & king crab legs with a honey mustard dressing. My least favourite dressing of them all. Salmon was lovely prawns were fine but freezing hasn't been kind to the crab legs porous, watery and tough, such a shame.
Cedar Plank Cooked Salmon, I always wanted to try that. The faintest taste of the cedar permeates through a seriously overlooked piece of salmon with perfectly cooked crisp fresh vegetables in an obviously gluten free sauce. No photo of the dessert folks it wasn't good, a low fat  seasonal fruit clafoutis a tough base below a bland custard filled canned peaches. The sauce was thawed frozen forest fruits which was the star of the dish. It was supposed to come with low fat Icecream but didn't so I asked for the specialty Icecream of the day which wasPistachio. It was beyond awful, spearmint green in colour and extremely strong fake almond essence flavour. I was embarrassed that I couldn't eat something I especially ordered but I simply couldn't. I pride myself in being able to try to enjoy most things but the second mouthful was worse that the first evenRicho  couldn't be dared or shamed into trying this.
We walked home through the Casino which is really big and the walkway into it comprises of this roulette wheel, coins, gold, chips etc. it is very well done and huge, several metres wide and long. I was disappointed with the overhead light reflections which robbed the effect I was trying to portray. Movie tonight Concussion.
