Day 3 Malaysian Holiday cheekyricho

Richo tried his hand at archery in the Berjaya Times Square centre. They have a 48 lane bowling alley,  huge amusement arcade and the largest indoor theme park in Malysia.
It's Sunday which is Bacon and Eggs Day but not here. We are going to be eating like a local. Last night we walked up this skinny dark dodgy alleyway to Berjaya Times Square Plaza ,
It looks a lot worse in the dark..

and wandered around designer shops and had dinner in an Asian Food Hall. Untold number of shops selling delicacies from all over Asia and beyond. We had Chicken chop with coleslaw mushroom and black pepper gravy. Richo had grilled chicken and a coconut drink with icecream in it. It wasn't too sweet or creamy and was lovely and cold. This shopping centre has an amusement park in it, complete with roller coast. It's huge and we wandered around for 2 hours and couldn't find it. Here is a photo of it at night from the 3rd floor of our hotel it is really big, indoors and appears to take up several floors. We knew where it was, a bit hard to lose but we still didn't find it. The bright shiny lit building to the left is the telecom tower off in the distance. The pools wet edge looked pretty at night.
Big banks of glass elevators carry you up 10 floors and then another closed in one takes you another 13 or so floors where we stumbled onto a wedding reception a very ritzy one at that. Tuxedoed waiters wandered around handing out glasses of champagne and other acoholic drinks.
The toilets on that floor were amazing marble with massive beveled mirrors fresh flower bouquets and fresh rose petals strewn the full length of the mirrors. Walk through the foyer of the toilets (which is big enough to park a car and caravan in) and the many cubicles are set out like apartment door ways off a centre hallway. Richo tells me the Gents was just as Lavish. He said it's the flashiest men's room he's ever seen. It was almost too pretty to use. I have seen dirtier hospitals the place was sparkling. The plaza is  open daily until 10pm and we had trouble finding our way out, at one stage we thought we might have to spend the night.
We found this place that had slow cooked eggs in herbal tea or something it did not look appetising.
Richo
Couldn't decide between the two sauces on offer so the very obliging attendant provided pots of both to try. His Coconut smoothie fruit drink thing was lovely too.
On the way home there was this little cart with charcoal griddles, wok burners and every sort of meat, seafood and unidentifiable stuff skewered and laid on ice. You select what you want and the guy cooks it front of you to your liking. This cart is in the middle of the multi lamed road not even on a traffic island and the traffic is whizzing past while you stand on the road waiting to be served. It's amazing. I wasn't the only one intrigued lots of people were taking photos. The bloke doesn't speak a skerrick of English but still has a thriving late night business.
There doesn't seem much in the way ofOccupational  Health and Safety here.
We found the Roller coaster theme park today and for some reason Richo had a game  of archery.
He was happy with his target grouping once he got the hang of it.
The indoor roller coaster.
We had a sizzle plate of beef noodles and greens complete with a lavish sprinkling of pepper. Richo said it was his favourite meal here so far.
It actually tasted a lot better than it looks.
We caught a bus to KLCC and wandered around there. It started raining very heavily so we caught a cab back and had dinner at our hotel. This interesting looking dessert is a Sea Coconut with lychees swimming in a sugar syrup with ice cubes. It was sweet, jelly like with a crunch. I was concerned it may be a sea cucumber but it is s member of the sugar palm family. Another first for us to try.
