Malaysia here we come!✈️🇲🇾

It was a wet and miserable take off from sunny Queensland. Low cloud and visibility. Our flight was on time.
The holiday  was a generous gift from my daughter. It is going to be very relaxing and exciting at the same time. It's 5 years since we were last here and we look forward to catching up on the things we missed last time. I'm keen to try as many local dishes as I can starting with a Plane Food of Nasi Lemak, so different to western cuisine and I enjoyed it. Richo scooped up a dollop of what he thought was ketchup with a little rice and popped it straight into his mouth, I reckon it took a full second to register it was a hot sweet chilli paste called Sambal.
Wide open eyes, tongue poked out and  a comment not fit for a family blog followed by him frantically trying to unscrew his water bottle. First lesson learnt Test before You Gobble! Following the initial shock he enjoyed and kept raving about the little crispy anchovies. This visit to the land of spice, chilli and curry is going to be 'interesting'
The weather improved as we travelled over the Islands North Of Australia. We settled in with a Tiger Beer getting into the holiday spirit.

It's a party, for some reason richo ordered a chilli noodle cup which the icetea is quenching quite well while it's aGrey Goose and tonic for me with thislocally made popcorn called Poco which is delicious.
Welcome to Malaysia!! The prepaid sky bus took us to the wrong place, over an hour away from our destination. Their solution"we are sorry !" They called us  A cab, which of course we had to pay for over an hour later we arrived at our hotel. As we were so late checking in it took nearly half an hour to find the room we paid for months ago. Ok we're all good to go .... Not quite. Up to the 18th floor our key works the elevator.... But not the  room. Back down stairs and reception reckon we wrecked the key. Hello it works the elevator. Finally into the room. It's hot two air conditioners, neither of them switched on. The room well, It's huge, has a seperate bedroom, a desk that would be too big for most lawyers offices. A lounge chair, robe slippers, iron and ironing board and 2 huge picture windows with city views. 2 big screen TVs with cable. Free wifi and convenience stores, restaurants and street food in the street below.
I'd had my ankle restrained as it was in a pressure stocking was threatening to burst out of its restraint Incredible Hulk Style. I had to get it elevated pronto, Richo went off to find food. I normally don't  trust him to make me a sandwich but he did good. Rice, chicken, pork, (turned out to be some sort of intestines???? , not the ducks guts but the sows bowels.😄LOL)  vegetables and sauce. Yummy satisfying, cheaper than chips and 15myr or $5AUD for two take away containers full. I forgot to take a photo and now it's all gone! Full tummy, very tired, big day, Good Night Folks. Tomorrow's another day.
Home sweet home, the lounge room of our Room in the Furama Hotel.
The separate Bedroom.
